Power is great, signal great, all lights lit up, my isp password/username is correct, all set up correctly. It just gets to the end of setup and says it can't configure...

It's a dell router connecting to a wireless modem on the NOW network... oh, and on my laptop

any ideas?

hmmm, when i type ipconfig/release, it says that no action can be performed while my media is disconnected... have no idea what that means!

Try this

Go to the COMMAND PROMPT

Type

ipconfig

the type

ipconfig release

then type

ipconfig renew

I don't recall IF you have to put a / before the release and renew. Just try it without the / if that doesn't work just add it in the try

I had this same problem a few weeks ago! I had a computer technician take a look at it and he couldn't figure out what was wrong.
We had to contact my internet provider who had sent information on how to set everything up....but they didnt publish some of the insrtuctions and you had to call them to find out what to do.
