It's not weak in Europe. There are many left communist parties which are getting a percentage of the vote in Europe. There are no communist parties in the US because US politics are extremely far right -- there's barely a socialist party in the US. It's pretty sad actually.

Because the idea of America is Capitalism. Communism is against capitalism and in the '50s communism was highly regarded as evil. I disagree as I am a communist. Not of the Stalinist or Maoist way. But of my own way.

Who in our usa does not combat if an enemy ever easily landed on our seashores? no longer the BS approximately them being in our lower back yards if we don't run all all over the realm attempting to wipe out an enemy we can't even locate in Iraq. The republican base is in basic terms too keen to have self assurance each and all of the crap approximately decrease and run and the Dems are going to tax you to loss of life. Leaving Iraq isn't reducing and working, it rather is greater like a business enterprise determination, do no longer throw sturdy money after undesirable, know while to diminish your loses. As a republican that would desire to be honestly comprehensible. actuality, finally this conflict is going to could be paid for, while it happens, who will you blame, whoever is in power, or President Bush for putting us into this huge debt? this may be complicated to appreciate yet others besides republicans do help this usa, it rather is why you notice plenty dissent and opposition to the President.

Because communism is for people that don't understand what is is like to be truly free. Read Ayn Rand and find out what being a commie does to the human spirit - start with Anthem and work your way up - she was Russian, so it is coming from a perfect point of view.

Because as a national economic model, it's been shown to be ineffective. While the policies may work on the very small scale, they don't work on the large scale in an industrialized nation, given the way people think and behave.
So, while a few die-hards might advocate it as a platform, most people can't support an economic model that is a known failure.
I just wish people were as perceptive about dropping their support for other programs that are as bad a failure.
