depends on what you want to see;
if you just want to display movies (from cable or DVD) on the TV, a TV out port @ the back of the PC / Video Card will do;
if you want to use the TV as a screen for your PC, to show pictures aso., you will need to have a DVI connector both on the Video card (possibly the PC, but build in Video cards usually don't have the DVI port) and on the TV, of course.
you may be able to use a converter from VGA to DVI, but it'll only look nice for a screen up to 20/25 inch.
if the PC function of the TV supports more then 1680*1050, you'll need a DVI output on your PC

good luck

yes they are. many lcd tv's have a dvi port on the back of them which will connect to your computer and function that way. if it doesnt, if your video card has a tv out port (looks the same as the yellow port on vcrs, dvd players, etc.) through wich you can hook up a set of rca cables (the yellow red and white tv cables) from that port to one of the auxillary ports on the tv. just make sure the plug in the back of the computer for video goes into the yellow plug on the tv. then just flip your tv to the appropriate tv/video channel to run your computer.
Hope this helps!

It relies upon if the television and the video card on your computing device fit. the television might want to settle for this form of two connections, S-Video or DVI (digital Video enter). Then your card must have the right output. I actually have an AIW ATI x800xt video card and that i visit hook it to my 40 six" HD television with the DVI cable. it actually relies upon on your setup. the answer on your question is definite it truly is a possibility.
