She does this when I am around. And when he takes me along to kid's activities, she would be nice to him and completely act as if I am not there and again would hug and kiss him when leaving.
I also found out that she was bringing him chocolates to his work and was telling their daughter that even though she has a boyfriend now, she still likes daddy more. Everytime she comes to pick up the daughter, she would keep on talking to him for a long time outside of our house. I told my husband that it bothers me and he said that he communicated with her but she never listen to him. And he said that she had never listen to him while they were married anyways and always do whatever she wants to do. What am I supposed to do? Can anyone give advice? Is it normal for ex-wife to still give ex-husband hugs and kiss goodbye?
Should I try to be more involved with whatever things that are going on between them? She was always so rude to me that I tried to stay away, but now I feel like an outsider.

That relies upon on how your relationships stands. Is your spouse insecure? Then, no you do not opt to hug your ex. Did you and your spouse lately have a strive against? No, you do not opt to hug your ex. Are you in a at present relaxing exciting courting and or mushy. Then possibly you may hug your ex. yet, when you're married and has executed the grimy with the ex then hell no you won't be able to hug her.

I kind of have the same problem with my B/F ex-wife she constantly calls etc. Needless to say, as long as your husband accepts this behavior it will continue. The talking can be curb, the hugging kissing can be stopped but you don't ever feel like an outsider, you are his wife now and if you have to be rude back to make that known you do that. Now as for your husband, he needs to decided who' side he's on and make the relationship between his child's mother and himself just that, that she is his child's mother and that he holds a certain amount of respect for her. He also needs to know there is a certain amount of respect to be held for you also. Good luck!!

I have a 25 yr old step daughter and I have been with her father since she was 10. When I came on the scene, he was still going to his ex's house for his daughter's birthday parties etc... (even though they had been split for 9 years already). After we moved in together his daughter asked him when he was going to move back in with her and her mother... he had to tell her point blank that it was never going to happen. It was obvious the ex was putting ideas in their daughter's head. After I helped him realize it was emotionally unhealthy for his daughter to be "led on" (not to mention the ex, but not so worried about her), he stopped.

I know I was bang on with my feelings on the matter... when his ex and I were on the phone one day (about the daughter) she tried to reassure me she "didn't want him back"... I put her in her place by saying I really didn't give a crap if she did want him back because I don't have to trust her, I have to trust him and I do. That was about 13 years ago and not a problem with her since.

Maybe your husband has a good heart and doesn't want to hurt her more (in his eyes)... but he needs to realize by allowing this behaviour on her part to continue, he is leading her on and giving his child a hope that isn't there.

Bottom line, you have to trust your husband, not his ex-wife... but you don't have to accept unacceptable physical contact either.

Hah! She somehow feels she's still "entitled". Is it normal? Well, I can tell you that it's definitely inappropriate, especially in front of you.
She's also doing this to get a rise out of you in hopes of starting a conflict in your marriage because of jealousy. Let your husband know that he needs to do more than just "tell her". He needs to enforce it. Demand results if you have to (but don't nag about it, do it in a grown up manner). Not only is she disrespecting you, your husband is allowing her to. He needs to stop being so meek and mild about it. It's not normal.

NO that is NOT NORMAL. if i where you, I'd sit down with miss slutty pants and have a little chat. if she doesn't listen to you after you explain that YOU are married to him now and are very uncool with other women hanging all over him, the i would woop her ***.

your husband is encouraging this behavior by not asking her to stop. you need to get on his case about it too. i would talk to him before i talked to her. and then if he's too much of a jackass to make it stop, talk to the homewrecker.

she is trying to make you jealous. I have a former aunt that still does that to my uncle's wife. She tried to get up close to him or tried to cause friction in the new marriage. The new wife just told her under no circumstances was she allowed to do such things. Your husband needs to take a staunch stand too..He needs to tell her that he loves you and WILL NOT allow such behaviors to upset his wife.

Perhaps he wants the best of two world, so the solution lies in u. As long as u give in, he thinks he is the best, but when u stamp your feet down, he knows that he to make a choice. so u have to decide, what sort of life u prefer

No that is not normal. Your husband is a wimp. the next time she tries to hug him HE should back away and tell her to STOP. She is asserting her power over you, but your husband needs to make her stop. As far as showing up to his work, can't he tell the people at his work that if she shows up not to let her in?
PS...as far as the other comments above.. Do Not let her know this bothers you or she will do it more...Make sure your hubby lets her know that it make him uncomfortable....He is not cheating on you, she is just a jelous ex wife

I guess it also depends on their culture... Though she may be doing it maliciously, in some cultures it is perfectly acceptable to hug or kiss (on the cheek!!) to say hi or bye... Americans don't generally do it, but islanders and europeans do...

hell no..that's why they are divorced..... divorced means move on.. and if he is with you he needs to tell her to back off!!! he needs to end it with her and stand up to her. Have him tell her that he is with you now and he does not want you to be upset, so she needs to stop the hugging and kissing crap and the show ups at work....if she comes over and they are outside...stand right next to him and hang onto his hand, be right there anytime she is around.. Maybe you need to tell her that it is not cool with you that she is like that and it is time for her to stop!!!
