NHL 06 game question?

My NHL 06 team is rated 96.
When i play against other teams i beat them all, but if i simulate the game, i lose. Even if the team is rated 88, i lose. What am i doing wrong.

Don't play in the simulation setting, it's a lot tougher than you'd believe!!!!
