Oh my. The saddest thing is that you really believe you are funny. That's soooo dry.

UM... well, you see, none of us will really believe that story. Is there any solid evidence of this being the "real reason", as opposed to what we have heard on the news, about Zidane saying something about his shirt, and Materazzi supposedly insulting Zidane's mother and sister? I think not.

Listen, no one knows the REAL truth about this

but I KNOW, i try to explain

Italian player Grosso became famous in italy thanks to this world cup
before, he was very little famous
the fact is that grosso in italian means big, large, thick
and in french their word sounds very similar, with same meaning
Moreover zidane played in italy for a long time, so he knows very well italian

let's come to the REAL REASON.
Materazzi, during the game, asked zidane (in italian) if it was true that his mother liked Grosso (meaning the player)
zidane couldn't see the G instead of g because in spoken language capitol letters can't be underlined
so zidane understood something like that:
<< hei zizou is it true that your mother likes (it) thick?>>
while materazzi meant
hei zizou is it true that your mother likes Grosso(=Big)?

that's funny
and now girls it italy can freely say that they like (it) grosso, and as in our grammar we don't need the "it" i fear i won't be able to distingush them from whores...
luckily not every girl in italy likes soccer!!!
bye

"the Zidane"???? check your English first..Zidane is a specific name as it is a name of a person and it is a name of a legend as well, which is why there is no need to put "the" in front of it!!! So,will you stop saying "the Zidane"!!!! You're going to make the English people so mad about this! And it's not funny at all!!

That really wasn't funny at all.

I know this is similarly disrespectful but funnier anyway:

M: Your head looks a little sweaty--wipe it on my shirt.

Z: Thanks man. I think I will.

See it was just a case of a freak accident.
