Why can't they just look before they sit down? Would they rather we leave it down in the first place? I've got a 4 year old, and that's pretty much recipe for disaster, if you know what I mean.

So ladies, what's the big deal?

why can't you just take the extra effort to make sure that it's down - you raised it in the first place - the problem is you don't want to touch it after you've pissed all over it, you'd rather we not only soak our bums from falling in but touch that nastification ourselves!

Guys look because they have to, to properly aim.
Girls don't have to look, they just drop their pants and squat. If the seat is up and their buns ain't huge, they will fall right into the water.

The ickiness of that is proportional to the cleanliness of the bowl.

My solution is to put down both the seat AND the lid, so there is no confusion. It is clearly closed and even girls in a hurry don't start "going" until they are fully seated, so they will immediately figure out that the lid is closed and can do something about it, compared to when gravity takes over when they are halfway into the bowl.

Even the four year old will figure out that the lid is closed, averting disaster.

I am a young married woman, and you know what?
I dont care. If he leaves the toilet seat up i never say anything
because i have hands and i can wash them, as long as
the toilet is kept clean on a regular basis no problem.

Of course my husband is very considerate and sweet and he
is respectful of me. He is anything but a male-pig, and i love him
for that. If he has a couple things like forgetting to twist the
bread bag or leaving the toilet seat up , so what? I am a big
girl and can put it down when i need to! If you have a wonderful
man like i do why give him grief about something so silly?
Besides we also have the added bonus of having two bathrooms.

You can Soooo tell which one is MINE! LOL

LOL - ((( Kelly ))) satisfied particularly a lot St Patrick's Day. i for my area continually positioned it down and confirm the paper roll has a large number of paper on it for the subsequent man or woman. it truly is my spouse that leaves the damn element empty. I grew up in a one bathing room abode with 3 sisters. I realized immediately now to not pizz-off a lady. staggering little play on words there do not you imagine.

Amazingly so, my husband always puts the lid down. I can't quite figure out how he's been trained, but hey, I'm not complaining about the toilet seat...

Now, about all the other crap he pulls outta left-field, that's another topic.

It all evens out in the end, I guess.

It's no fun waking up in the middle of the night to pee and your half asleep and some guy left the damn seat up. Have you ever fallen in? LOL It makes you pretty damn mad! It's called manners. Put the damn seat down when your done.

#1 the ring of the toilet is always cold and slippery
#2 the ring of the toilet was not meant to sit on
#3 the ring of the toilet just might not be clean and we really don't want to wash the toilet just because we need to pee
#4 did you know that our revenge for leaving the seat up is to pee on the razor you shave your face with?

No the best question is, why is it so difficult for men to just put the seat down when they're done? Is it that men are just too damn lazy or what?

maybe because...it's the middle of the night and I'm not all that awake...I proceed to sit on the toilet , but instead end up going for a swim....it's a rude awakening.....
