She only works in our office from 10:00am - 2:00 pm and she complains all day that she doesn't want to be here. In my opinion she is hardly ever here anyway....

There are three reasons why she would behave this way:
1) She has a social life outside of her job that she feels is more important.
2) She really doesn't like her job and should move on.
3) She has BPD (bi-polar disorder) and is unaware of how her actions are affecting her co-workers.
What I would suggest is that you take her aside and ask her in a very distinct manner without displaying any anger what is the problem. Make her understand how her actions are affecting her other co-workers. Please do not suggest she needs "help" because she might become offended and act very defensive. She might not be aware of her pessimistic attitude.

first you need to ask Natalie what is really going on and take it from there it will explain why she doesnot want to be there. it could be that she is feeling guilty for leaving her kids behind and have to go to work I bet you it has something to do with home. let me know how it turns out. Always remember it really does not have to be the work issue.

tee hee ^-^ sorry but it sounds funny =b well, just ignore her, or tell her, "well, why do you work here then" or something, but I think you should just ignore her because eventually the boss' will prob. notice and do something. so yeah, there's not really anything you can do, just be a good person and do your work =)
