DO NOT DELETE THE E-MAILS! Look in the e-mail headers for x-originating-ip (How you access the headers differ between e-mail clients) It should say something like x-originating-ip: xx.xx.xx.xx Where each xx is som number between 1 and 255.
You can enter the IP number to a so called visual traceroute to see about where in the world the IP is situated. The IP address is a unique number that identifies the other person's computer uniquely.
If the feel so harassed that you think what the other person does is illegal, you can turn to the police and report the IP address to them.

Check the domain it comes from. If it is a Yahoo or Hotmail or something like that check thru the member directories - maybe you can find something in those that clicks for you as to who it is.
You can always put this person on your blocked list too so you won't receive any more in the future.

check the header, unless they used an anonymous mail sender, but if they police are involved, they can get the IP address of the user and track down the culprit that way

well, you could find out where they live.. click details next to the "from" and "to" fields and you will find an ip address next to the person's ip address. then take the ip and go tohttp://www.geobytes.com/IpLocator.htm or some other ip tracker by going to google and searching "ip tracker" and you will find what city that person lives in. if you are willing to spent money, you can have people trace who that person is and their house. I forgot the site addresss though...

Have you tried contacting their email hosting service or the police. They may not tell you who it is but they can take the appropriate action to stop it.
