i notice that most women get their tatoos on thier lower back why is that.

I got mine there for a few reasons mostly bc tatoos aren't always viewed as professional so I can hide it when I want and show it off when I want. I think the lower back is also a very sexy spot.

Well i have 6 tattoo's and none on my lower back so i guess I'm not like most woman lol but anyway, It is a style for woman especially those with nice figures who can show it off with certain outfits it is somewhat flattering and sexy depending on the tattoo.

They get it there because it is out of the way for most people to see and can be covered by a t-shirt, jeans, formal dress, or anything that can cover it so employers don't judge when hiring someone and so others don't know they have one unless they're in their underwear or in a bikini, or nude. I have one on my right shoulderblade that can be covered by a formal dress.

I have noticed this as well. I refuse to get a 'tramp stamp' I find them to be unappealing and personall, I just don't want to see that. Not to mention the fact 95% of them all look the same. Grrr. Stupid trends.

Its the same concept of a Mullet... Business in the Front Party in the back.
If she wants to show it she can... if she doesn't she can hide it. She also can just revel a little of it and some people are lucky to see more of it, in some cases.

It's the latest fad, the tramp stamp...I have 4 tats, got my first one when I was 19 - I'm now 35. None of them are on my lower back. Have one on each ankle, my right shoulder blade and the back of my neck...

i personally got mine b/c i like the pain of the tattoo needle and in that area on the spine really hurt. and it gives you a nice large flat surface for a really pretty design
