You might try selling things on eBay; I have a friend who started doing that and ended up quitting her job because she was making more money on eBay. But, you have to be very serious about it; be prepared to attend to business FIRST, never put off replying to customers or shipping to them once you receive the payments. If you're going to flake out you'd be better off never getting into it -- but then that, I suppose, applies to any kind of home business. Good luck!

There's a lot of serious work-from-home occasions.
But you'll have to shop them. Don't forget : over 5$ to enter a job is SCAM.
The best work-from-home experience I've heard is about Google adSense.

I would say it is probably a scam.
Selling books on Amazon made me a few thousand dollars. If you do not have any books you may be able to get them at yard sales. Unlike ebay, you do not pay Amazon until you actually sell the book.
