Do you like Madonna? if so which song? I think Madonna is a true American icon, she has managed to keep herself in the business for 24 yrs. Just when people think she's over, she proves them wrong. Her , cynical, daring, erotic, provacative, shocking talents keeps her on top of the chart. She's the #3 in the wrold selling more records and CDs, right after Elvis #1, The beatles#2.

ps. Britney spears said at one point that she wanted to be like Madonna, I think she will never by like Madonna.

I loathe her. I think she's a pig. Yes, she's managed to make the Forbes Magazine, by constantly re-inventing herself. She, indeed, is business-savvy. As far as her morals, I think she's completely bankrupt. She puts down America while living in a castle in Europe. She's made more money from her American fans than any other fan base, yet has the audacity to put this country down.
Her last little stunt kissing Britney in front of everyone, including her daughter, is what did it for me.
What song? Well, since she's just BARELY learning how to play the guitar, hasn't mastered any musical instruments or music writing, they're really not HER songs. She "produces" them from a team of musicians and songwriters. I think she has a horrid nasally voice (not too far off from Britney's) and I don't care for her message or musical style at all. I'd much rather spend my money buying AC/DC albums, the Strokes, the Aggrolites, or ANYONE who is NOT Madonna.

I love Madonna. I remember buying all her tapes. (I was a fan before CD's were invented!)

I remember the big hoopla that was made over her "Like A Prayer" album release. There was a big outcry from Catholic communities. Especially about her dancing in front of the burning cross in the "Like A Prayer" video.

No, Britney Spears will only be like Madonna in one way - she made a lot of money. (Not near as much as Madonna, of course, but a lot by modern pop standards.)

She's okay. I like some of her stuff. I love Like A Prayer, Lucky Star, and Hung Up.

Britney Spears will never be like Madonna. Madonna was a little raunchy, but the sexy kind of raunchy. Spears is just trashy.

When she began to be known in the 80's I liked her a lot. I thought she was fun and I liked her videos. When I went to dance I even dressed like her. In the 80's we all wanted to be Material Girls, we all were Like a Virgin. We all loved her and admired her very much.

But now I despise her. In October 26, 1993 she came to PR with the Girlie Show Tour. During the concert, she had a small Puerto Rican flag and she made a gesture like she was masturbating with it. I was at the concert, I saw it. The public was horrified and hurt. We paid good money to see this?
Later she said that it was part of the choreography? She never apologized for her stupidity. She crossed the line. Yes, she is cynical, provocative, daring, and shocking in a crass way.

I Think Madonna is AWESOME! I can't remember the exact name of this song by her, but she sings in it, " Like a ray of light, I'm Flying" or something like that. I also agree, Britney will never aspire to Madonnas level of Success nor Talent.

I love Madonna - I haven't purchased any CD's or anything but I think she's a very beautiful & highly intelligent woman. My favorite song was (I forgot the name of it) but it was the one with the Mattador - the bull fighter one. If your into Madonna - you'll know the one I"m talking about.

Madonna was good when she was in her 20's and 30's now she is just weird she dresses like a s l u t and she has children. she is old and her teeth are spaced out she is ugly. she has great talent but she shows it off in the wrong ways. she is fit for 48 years old but that doesn't mean that she has to dress like a hooker

But I can't stand watching her perform- her teeth alone bother me.. but some of her clothing choices are atrocious.

I'm not a fan of Madonna but I like some of her songs. But you are right... she really made herself big. It's strange to think she's a mommy.... how did she breastfeed with that pointy bra?
