My computer will freeze and i get a box at the bottom toolbar that says ERROR REPORTING. I have to hit control-alt-delete to restart. I have had the computer for a year and it just started doing this 2 weeks ago. I use msn software. I have a good virus program, spybot, and ad-adware but they dont seem to find the cause. What could it be?

It would depend on where you downloaded these movies from! If they have come from a p2p application it is most likely they have an exploit virus or trojan in the modified file (usually in an AVI file) this is a problem that Microsoft are aware of and did release a patch for (on XP anyway). It means that someone has modified the AVI file to allow access to your PC by an embedded trojan or virus. Dont use P2P applications!

There seems to be a program that's causing this problem or it might be a driver but that's not very likely. I'd recommend that you check any new programs you installed and try uninstalling them. Maybe if you installed any new drivers you should try going back to the old ones....Hope this helps....

You could take your computer into a repair shop and they could figure it out. Maybe get rid of MSN or talk to the computer company where you got your computer.
