Time is something humans made up to explain the differences between theoretical "now"s. We used the sun and the rotation of our planet to help make sense of change. Without the sun or rotation of the earth, we would have just used something else that repeats predictably (assuming we could live without the sun which is stupid)
The space-time idea is that space and time are intertwined. This goes along with inertia. Nothing can change its spatial coordinates using no time. It always takes some amount of time. It also goes that nothing can change in time without changing in space.
Its also about perspective. When someone sees something happen, it occurs at time t. When someone else sees it, they do not see it at the same time. This is do to the speed of light and the distances each person is from that something.
I can go on and on..but that is a really good question. What is time?
It's a magazine...
Time is money...
