You're going to do the math.

Assume a room full of air.

Heat capacity of air is about 0.018 BTU/( cu. ft. * deg F) = Hcp

Volume of room is 8000 sq ft x 12 ft = Vol

Q = vol x Hcp x Td

Td = Temperature change in deg F

Once you decide how much you want to heat it up you can crunch the numbers.

Not sure how useful this information will be. Usually you'd want to know how many BTU's / hr are needed to keep the area heated to a certain temperature at a given outside temperature that would depend on the construction of walls, floor and roof.

Is the area filled with regular air? What's the starting (ambient) temperature of the air? What temperature are you attempting to heat it to?
