Is Euthanasia ( The act or practice of ending the life of an individual suffering from terminal illness or an incurable condition, as by lethal; injection or the suspension of extraordinary medical treatment) right?
If your best friend is desperately in pain, and I'm not talking about a safe warm bed in a hospital, im sayin some where in a forest, with no help for miles. If your friend is in terrible pain, and you see there is soo little chance that he will survive (you just know it) can you end his pain? If beggs you, with his last power of words. He begs to not leave him and search for help, he begs you to kill him is it right? Can I do it? How do I do it?

Like the old saying goes "If he's in terrible pain and full of awfull torture, then kill him, give him what he's asking for. It's always better to give then to receive." So kill him, say goodbye. Bury the body. take some ashes. Get rid of the evidence. Enjoy YOUR life.

I have absoltely no problem with euthanasia in principle. But opponents of euthanasia are worried that people might be helped to die prematurely or that people might feel pressured into asking for assisted suicide again prematurely.

But I think that a proper euthanasia service should be widely available in the 21st century and that it would be straightforward to provide adequate safeguards against a bad or wrong decision being made.

You see, I believe that our lives belong to us and that we should have as much control over our own lives as possible unless their are very good reasons as to why an exception should be made. And having control over our own lives includes in my opinion the matter of deciding when life is no longer worth living.

But currently in the United Kingdom euthanasia is a criminal offence so you need to take that into account.

So if I had a friend that wanted to be put out of his misery and I believed that his or her judgement was a sound one then I would be tempted to help him or her. But I would have to also think about the risk of being caught and the risk of getting a jail sentence. I personnally probably wouldn't help my friend unless I was fairly sure about getting away with it. But each individual should make their own personal decisions on this sort of matter.

And my other problem is that I really don't know any effective killing techniques. So I'm not much use in your scenario.

Martin Camden.

I think euthanasia should be legal with guidelines of course.

In your hypothetical situation I would assess it.....even if he is in terrible pain, how extent are his injuries, just because I have a bad feeling about it doesnt mean he is going to die. How desperate is our location, is there NO way out?
If the guy is bleeding to death, has lost both limbs and guts are pouring out, I would consider putting him at rest if he asked me to. Otherwise I would do what I could to help him surive until his last breath.

If you had to kill him, I would do it with something that would be quick and humane - if you had a knife or gun that would be ideal

i know how hard it is to watch someone love suffer. you stand by and watch as they endure pain that that seems so horrible, death seems as if it would be a quiet blessing. however, the decision between life and death is not for you to make. although it's hard to stand by and watch, you shouldn't assist in your friend's suicide. i'm not just speaking out of my behind. i do know you know your pain. you know the saying, "those who feel it , know it". but at the end of the day, you're going to have to live with your decision. will you be able to face yourself in the mirror and feel inner peace? think about this decision for it is not a light one to make. good luck to you and your friend. i hope you both find the peace that you seek.

gaaaaah people these days.
What you'd be doing is co-suicide.
Ever heard of the Ten Commandments ?
THOU SHALT NOT KILL.
Run for help. Don't kill him.
But by now, you probably already made your decision.
*sigh*
