I am a liberal (more or less). I don't go around saying that the destruction of the World trade Center was Pres. Bush's fault. There is still some unanswered questions as to whether or not the White House responded to intelligence as well as it could have, but that is neither here or there.
I will say, though, that this administration has handled this new cold war very poorly. By toppling Saddam Hussein and reducing the Taliban's range of influence, we have eliminated the two powers in the region that kept Hezbollah in check. They are more powerful now because of our efforts.
After the Sept 11th bombing, there was about a month afterward there was a window of opportunity where the president could have asked us to do anything, and we would have done it. Try to bolster military enrollment, or giving blood, buying us saving bonds, setting up recycling centers to help pay for benefits to soldiers or NYC police and fire departments. Anything that could have helped. But what did he tell us to do instead? He told us to go shopping. He was afraid that the economy might suffer. I guess it's hard to fill a $10,000 a plate fundraiser event when your bid business partners aren't making record profits.
Say whatever you like about how weak liberals are. We don't have to point out YOUR faults. Just the faults of the man you were stupid enough to vote for.

I don't believe Bush had anything to do with 9-11 he is clearly not intelligent enough to plan anything or manage anything. I would really like to see this administration get Bin Ladin but that won't happen. The Chicken Hawks don't know how to fight. The Republican are real cowards only worried about money and oil. We need a real warrior in office in times like these. Not draft dogging deferment specialist.

When people and nations(the West) live in darkness, they lose sense of direction. In an information age, knowledge–driven global culture of reason, ignorance is no longer a requisite to learn from the living history. The previous Empires knew their geography and limits, but the newly barbaric articulated American Empire in its infancy, is challenging to the limits of the Laws of God and appears obsessed with “fear” of being replaced by the new emerging nations of Asia and South America. Filthy phallic worshiper Bush invoked the “War on Islam”, as a dictum of power, not reason and wisdom, to camouflage the prospective future with acts of barbarity and to dispel the notion of accountability in global affairs. Historically, people and nations pursuing this path of behavior have ended up in self-defeat and self-destruction.
The 9/11 attacks and religious doctrines have no common ground. Hourly paid intellectuals turned guardian of approved truth, allege that Islam breeds terrorism. The Western mass media complements the scientifically discovered notion to poison the public perceptions and source of judgments against the Arabs and Muslims. The Neo-Conservatives helped to rob the humanity of its human heritage. The perception of ‘radical Islam’ was invented and enhanced by the ‘fear’ of terrorism and as a precursor to attack Muslims.

How much torture did he undergo before his confession . The human body and mind can take only so much before it breaks down.
9-11 might have been avoided had bush kept up with intellegence reports and had done something to watch for such an action .SEEMS he grounded the flights to late . .

I am no lib but they all knew what was up. Listen to Alex Jones and then decide before closing off just because your a republican. Tell me why they can't find Bin Lauden is because they don't want to. Look at the gas prices. And look into the companies that are rebuilding Iraq and Afganistan. One was ran by Cheney and the other by Bush senior.

I think it's sad that we aren't, as of July 4, looking for the person responsible. I also think it's sad that the information was there, and nothing was done. Have you read the NON PARTISAN 9/11 commission report? FIND BIN LADEN!

...time to open the windows and let the light in- this forum is a speck of dust... the reality outside where the sun is shining- thats where the truth is... in the rubble, and in a few people's personal history-
who did it? why havn't we caught the mastermind, we are not even going after the culprit. Why is that? Do you know any other crimes in this country that were as big as 911? And JUST LET IT GO?
please step outside and get some air, my dear...

Well, it isn't his fault, but there is proof that the attacks weren't as simple as people believe. Like the pentagon incident. There is overwhelming proof that a missile crashed into it. There is a chance that there were bombs planted in the twin towers. But all in all, niether Bush nor Al-Quaida gained anything. He still is one of the worst presidents of all time.

I think the people who blame either administration -- the Clinton or Bush - for the actual attack are marginalizing the losses that we had. 9/11 was the fault of bin Laden and his followers, period. They need to be tracked down, they need to be executed on the spot, period.

Isn't it sad for Yale that one of their Alumni can't speak to save his own life?! That is who I feel sorry for, makes Yale's program look like a freaking joke. They let that guy graduate?!
Why do people defend Bush as well? Wasn't he on vacation 2/3 of the time while he was President?
