i'm baffled by them. we all saw it happen moment by moment & then we got to relive it for months after. i don't see why creating an "artistic" piece on them is necessary. we all have our memories of that day, we all will remember it forever. i don't want to see the movies because i don't want to have someone's interpretation of it in my brain, rather then how it affected me.

I have mixed feelings about the 9/11 movies...it is an important issue and is good to be documented in all aspects of our culture, and I also think it's unfortuante for an event to be exploited for the purpose of making money.
I've heard good things about both United 93 and World Trade Center which eases my feelings about their creation a bit...I think the intention behind the movie being made is an important thing to consider which I guess would be determined by the filmmaker and their personal biases.
I guess overall I'm not surprised the movies are being made, and I don't feel it is too soon. It is unfortunate though that tragic events are exploited for money...unfortunately that's part of living in the United States.

United 93 was very tastefully done. It was done in a documetary type format, not a big blockbuster movie format like World Trade Center is. I found it to be very moving. It was incredibly gut-wrenching and hard to sit through during several spots, but I feel good about having gone to see it and I can safely say the same about everyone else that was in the theatre with us that night as they all clapped at the end for the brave passengers that sacrificed themselves that day to save possibly hundreds or thousands more.

Okay, certainly my cynical side agrees that Hollywood is making bank on human tragedy.
But think with me here a minute - is there not historical value in movies like "Tora! Tora! Tora!" and "Midway"? The whole WWII movie library, which is a genre unto itself?
What about "Glory" and every other Civil War movie? And the whole genre of Westerns?
I guess my point is that somewhere along the line, 9/11 becomes recognized as perhaps the most significant, galvanizing event in US history since Viet Nam...and everything in the culture is going to respond...including Hollywood.
Perhaps it's just that the distance of time hasn't elapsed for us like it has for the Rambo / Deer Hunter Viet Nam genre, and that it seems so recent that it smells like graverobbing to many of us.

I was not going to see the movie, however an acquaintance already has and dispelled my beliefs. They said the focus was a story on two police officers and not this huge propaganda rally against terrorism. However I still think the title could of been "Hero's" and still tell the same story with a better taste in my mouth. I won't see this version for years as I don't want anyone or party to profit from my viewing.

I think is discraceful... That filmmakers make movies like this but you know that the public likes movies with action and blood and guts and all so this is as good as it get if you like that kind of stuff.. I mean why not so many people died, so many firefighter and police were killed.. it was the greatest tragedy in american history so why wound't the american public love a movie about it.. oh and on that note.. it did not take long for the american public to stop caring about one another after it was over did it... it was like everyone moved on and people helping people went right out the window... oh well that is human nature.. hence why these films were brough out.. but that is just my opinion.. I welcome yours

it brings back to many bad memories of that terrible day.
why would anyone want to watch it. I guess the film industry has run out of ideas. All they are doing is exploiting these peoples
pain over and over again. I have not intention off seeing this movie
and all the people I know, say the same thing. The word
GHOULS comes to mind.

it was ok 30 plus years ago to make those movies because people didn't have tv's, just radio's to hear what was going on. The whole world experienced 9/11 as it happened and why would we want to see that again. Just do one documentary to show our children later in life, to learn and understand us history. your right, the movies are ridiculous, and i like Nicholas Cage, i can't believe he did this movie

I observed the television action picture approximately Flight ninety 3 on A&E and that i extremely did see "worldwide commerce center" final weekend. They have been the two VERY coronary heart-wrenching (i'm unsure there become one dry eye interior the theater), and sure, aspects of it have been very no longer straightforward to computer screen... yet they have been the two very tastefully achieved and correctly-made. I examine in a piece of writing that "worldwide commerce center" become approximately ninety 5% precise in accordance to the two Port Authority police officers the action picture become centred on; there have been no gimmicks and not something become "Hollywoodized". and that they did no longer make it right into a love tale like what become achieved to "massive" and "Pearl Harbor". "worldwide commerce center" centred greater on wish and compassion than melancholy and bereavement, which become much less complicated to preserve. although, the movies approximately Flight ninety 3 at the instant are not so hopeful, because of the fact all of us be conscious of the end result, in spite of the actuality that anybody interior the aim marketplace desperately needed yet another ending. in spite of the actuality that this is certainly too quickly for some people to preserve and re-journey, i become able to preserve them the two (no longer devoid of tears) because of the fact they have been so actual and correctly-made.

I think it's too soon for movies about 9/11 anyhow, but even if they had waited like five or ten more years it still would've been too soon in someone elses eyes.
