When I finally get a good job, I'd like to invest in a foam mattress. Compared with a regular spring mattress, how good is the Swedish foam thingy (as well as the sleep number thingy, too)?

My wife an I bought a sleep number mattress 2 years ago. The best investment ever!!! My # is 100, and she keeps hers at 45. It has held up great so far. And the top cover is removable for washing.I don't see how we can ever "wear it out".

I tried both at the store and my mom has a termperpedic. I really liked the temperpedic. I was able to sink in and it adjusts to the way I sleep. The sleep number just changes the softness of the bed. It won't do anything about the half asleep arms. Plus I thought it took too long to adjust between numbers so I had to wait and wait there while it made it softer. I recommend the temperpedic.

My Memory Foam got amnesia, but sleep number 69 helps me get to sleep quickly.
Go with a good quality regular mattress and box spring.

I feel any type of mattress that does not have metal springs or coils, that will eventual poke or prod, attached to it is a bonus. It has to more comfortable than its competitor no matter how old it gets. ZeZe

I bought a Sleep Number bed in January. I don't wake up stiff and sore anymore. It is a great bed once you figure out your number. I would recommend it to anyone.
