i want to go were there is lots of water,trees and tall mountains and affordable cost of living ...taking suggestions

Montana. It is beautiful and the cost of living is affordable. If you want something out of the States then go to the "international living" website and you will get some ideas there. There are properties in Chile for around $20,000.

Washington State.. It has lots of rivers, lots of trees and is very affordable to live there.
I live up there for 10 years in the mountains and did so most of it with out working..
bartering is very good way to get what you want up there.
you can still sell garden goods and make a living at it.
Trade with the grocery stores veggies for milk and what ever else you can grow.. your meat walks around in your yard.
so i thought it was a beautiful place.

How about Washington State or Oregon, or on the other side of the country (assuming you're talking about the U.S.), Vermont, New Hampshire, or Maine.

look at a map of the usa youll find a place oregon has alot of what you want so do other states
