Why do you "need" one?
If you WANT one, start by being happy with yourself for who you are. Then be happy with the way you look. Get clothing, makeup, hairstyles, that flatter you, not the model in a fashion magazine. Be confident. Be open to new people and ideas.
Most of all, be yourself. Anyone who falls for a fake act won't be worth having. And once he figures out the real you, he'll dump you since you weren't the girl he thought he was.
Don't try to be "Little Miss Sex Kitten". If he thought you were easy, and then you don't give in, he's a scum, but then you're back to square one. And you should never never never have sex at your age.
Don't try to be "Little Miss Flirty" either. It puts you in a bad light, almost as bad as the sex kitten.
If you aren't yourself, you are attracting guys that won't stick around, and you'll be putting on an act all the time. The ones that like you for who you are will make you happier in the long run, and you'll have less short relationships, more longer ones.

My older sister didn't date until college. She is a PHD in genetics and head of an entire lab, over many people much older than her. She is engaged to be married this fall to a sports manager. She is 28.

I NEED a bf? do you really need some guy in your life just because its in or something? Do you want to be dependent on some boy? Of course not. If you don't find anyone that you are attracted to, why bother with it? Wait until someone worth while comes into your life.

How do you get through school without one? Simple. Smile, be nice, be independent. Other people don't admire people that have hot boyfriends or just a boyfriend. They admire people that work hard, are kind, and so on and so forth. I'm a high schooler just like you. I know what I'm talking about.

It all depends on you...I will think this way....I concentrate on my studies....go all the way till I finish all my studies...get a great job....and when you're in a great job, you meet great guys as well...then it's time to choose....But then as I said...it depends on you if you can stay without a bf...of course some people look at those without bf differently....it's your mindset...

Study on work...High school relatioships are just bumps in the road....the less the better....study hard and go to college and meet a guy that is wanting the same in life....and that is hopefully going to be a lawyer or doctor...

Allot of people don't hook up while in HS.
