The diff is the point of view of the peoples freedom is being sought from. The British call the IRA terrorists - most of the Irish population in the US that contends that Muslims are terrorists will not agree. You see, it's very easy to judge but very hard to put oneself in the position being judged with no bias and still have the same opinion.

Terrorists kill people for money, oil, and land. Greed is there primary motive and in most instances you will find the masterminds of terror hiding in bunkers watching the fox news, having a nice steak with a glass of wine. Freedom fighters on the other hand, fight terrorists who invade their countries trying to steal their land and recourses. They fight defending their rights; they risk their lives doing so and don't get paid in dollars. They do it for honour and die in honour. They know god is watching and looking over them. They know no bad deed goes unpunished. They know Allah is great. They know what they are doing and truly believe in god and in most instances the ring leaders of freedom fighters will be out there on the battle field risking their lives and supporting their soldiers. NOT HIDDING IN BUNKERS WATCHING FOX NEWS AND HAVING A GLASS OF WINE WITH A JUICY STEAK. Do you see now what’s the differences my friend?!!

Good question.
A freedom-fighter is against their own country's stance on political issues.
A terrorist will sacrifice his/her life and those of many more to get their point across, and this can occur in any country.

A freedom fighter wouldn't take the life and freedom of an innocent for their cause.

A terrorist would take an innocent hostage and even kill them for theirs.

If I understand the interpretation of the English language correctly, ..er or ..or on the end of a word means "one who."

So, a freedom fighter would be "one who" fights for freedom.
A terrorist would be "one who" terrorizes.
