Guess what? I'm a teacher. We notice. We ignore it. We understand, but it's just a bad idea for so many reasons. There is a lot of development between 17 and 22, or for that matter between 22 and 30. Most adults don't think the way you do. We are through the storms of adolescence. But we sympathize.

Of course.
Teachers may only be 4 years older than their high school students! The problem is not only that students may be attracted to their teachers, but teachers may be attracted to their students. Their ages, and sometimes maturity levels, are so close together. Now with the more strenuous requirements to move on to the next grade level, students and teachers ages will be getting even closer. This is so scary, especially having children who will soon be entering high school.

Yeah. There are always a few of the younger guy teachers (you know probably PE or something) that the girls thought were sooo cute...but I found the more mature looking and acting teachers attractive. I often wondered what it would be like to be with them if I were older...not just in a sexual way though. I never imagined being with them at my young age, that would just taint the way I saw them, they would just be pedophiles. I especially liked the teachers who dressed nicely while at school (dress pants, collared shirts, sometimes ties).

i felt that way about my 6th grade math teacher and 2 years later i still do. the bad thing is that hes married and he just had a baby:(
