If you have been fired from a job after being there barely 2 months and leave it off the resume and job application, does it show up on a background check? What if you are also collecting unemployment benefits?
Is it OK to leave the job off the resume since one doesnt want to delve into the negatives?

Not unless you tell the potential employer or the reason you were fired was for something you have been legally charged for (and they have done a criminal reference check). I wouldn't volunteer the UI information unless they ask about the gap in your employment history. Use references that you know will be a benefit to you.

i do not think it shows up on a background check unless they run a credit check and you have used that job previously as a source of income for credit a background check is usually your criminal history
