start running everyday = even if it is just a few minutes at first - I lost 50 pounds in 4 months - I also strengthened my muscles and developed lean muscle mass by stretching and being active.

Go to a local gym and ask for a session with an expert. It will be worth the fee (probably $50)...or sometimes they offer a "freebie" for new members. He/she can assess your body type and what you personally need to play lacrosse. Good Luck.
