I am sorry for you. I was married to an alcoholic for 13 years. It was terrible and I to hated him. It wasnt so bad for him to drink once in a while but when he started drinking the liquor things got horrible. He stunk and I couldnt stand being around him. Tell him how u feel and make him choose. Try AA and u can also participate with him. I tried all that but mine contined to drink and he beat me and my children. He is gone now, thank God.. Good luck

I can certainly understand. My Dad was an alcoholic and the complications of him being an alcoholic killed him. I'll never understand it. I do drink sometimes, but I know my limits and know what it will do to a family., If you are truly unhappy and really hate him, get out of the situation. Don't stay in it because it will only lead you to misery.

My husband drinks a lot too, 6-12 packs a day and he denies it that he's an alcholic. I didn't want to upset him and tell him that he drinks a lot (because I tried last time and arguments was an everlasting...) but anyways, I wanted him to slow down. I hate it and his drinking habits leads sometimes to an a fight or not a good weekend and sometimes blamed me for it and it's really bothering me.

Oh boy, im sorry to say this but until he gets help like A.A. you are in a relationship that will be full of hurt. I understand you hate him but do you still love him? If so talk to him, get him to a meeting if he says he wants to get better and work things out. There are support groups through A.A. for the spouse dealing with the alcoholic. My ex wouldnt give it up not for me or his kids and thats why hes my ex but, if your husband wants help be supportive if your still in love, it can get better i,ve seen it just not in my situation unfortuanatley.

My mother was an alcoholic and it definately made things hard... judging from this and other questions you've asked, have you wondered about getting out of this negative relationship? I'm not a big advocate of throwing in the towel over little things.. but from the sound of it, this is affecting you and from personal experience, its affecting any children you might have.

I was. Now we are divorcing. Alcoholics are always in denial about their drinking and there isn't much you will be able to do until you or someone else can show him what he is doing to your relationship. I didn't hate my wife for it, I hated what it did to our marriage.
