If you know how to talk on a phone, you will probably be able to learn a switchboard. It's just a phone system with multiple lines. Each one is different, but pretty easy to learn.

Don't lie. As the others have said, if you get caught you will be fired. Instead, look for a receptionist position where the employer is willing to train you. Even if you the number of lines you wil be required to answer are few, it will give you a chance to gain some experience. Also is the option of trying to gain some experience through working with temporary agencies. The more chances you have, even short term, you will have more experience and the next time you interview for full-time employment, you won't have to lie.

When you work in an office, many times they have more than one phone line ringing at the same time. It means can you answer the line, transfer it to the correct place and get back to the phones. It's not too hard to learn.

To have the ability to answer a multi-line phone, be able to place one or more callers on hold while transfering thier call to another line.
Swithboard is an old term, still used for multi-lined phone systems.

If you lie and you get caught, it will be much tougher for you down the line. Don't do it. Eventually most people who lie on their work experience/resumes get caught.
