Would you know what the most powerful japanese car engine available today is?

I am looking for a used Jap car engine. What do you think is the best?

How about Subaru Sti7 engine, Evo, Nissan Skyline.

Please remember that it sould be cheap and easy to run.

Subaru won best new engine this year, so put that into consideration. I'd go with the STi. NOthing beats the sound of a boxer engine.
