Regardless of what "Ruthless" says MDK is CORRECT. This is basically for your own protection since many people share home computers and/ or use "public" computers in libraries etc.

That being said, If you are only using one computer and nobody else is using it then do this. When you are logged into your Yahoo! account, click "My Account" at the top of the page, you will need to re-enter your password, then at your "Account Info" page. click edit next to Member Info, go down to General Preferences. in the "prompt for Password" window select how often you want to be prompted. This will solve your problem.

Shame on Ruthless for being so Ruthless to MDK when she knew EXACTLY what she was talking about!!!

Using Yahoo! mail are we? It's their problem, a solution I've found is with using FireFox there is a Go menu on top of the browser between Bookmarks and View, and I can just select my inbox from there and it auto logs me in...

For the person below me, that is the dumbest reason to autolog someone out, everytime.. if someone was going to get into your email, it probably wouldn't be from that same computer you were sitting at.. they'd just crack your password and login from where ever they want to.

you can choose to have it remember your id on the computer, but you do have to reinput your password

however http://search2.cc.scd.yahoo.com/cct_search.php?ui_mode=answer&prior_transaction_id=393030&action_code=4&highlight_info=16782679,109,113&turl=http%3A%2F%2Fhelp.yahoo.com%2Fl%2Fus%2Fyahoo%2Facct%2Fbasics%2Facct_14.html&answer_id=422927 (sorry if the link doesn't work, click "help" and search for "password prompting") then click on the "password prompting" highlighted link text and at the bottom of your preferences page they should have it so it will only ask every 24 hours as an option
