The trouble with people with kleptomania,
is they do not realise they are doing it, at the time ,
They become, terribly remorseful and withdrawn, often suicidal ,
when they are eventually found out
. kleptomaniac's derive no gain ,from what they take and usual just stash it around their homes .
Kleptomaniacs need sympathetic rehabilitation
Thieves
are a different matter , they are out to deprive people and firms of their property FOR THEIR OWN GAIN.
they have no conscience and will often resort to violence, to steal and get away with their spoils..
They deserve prison , and the harshest possible punishment .
