People on other questions say they've seen ghost, but what do they look like and did you say anything to them? grab a feel and how did they leave, in a puff of smoke? I am very curious as the nearest I have come (I live in a VERY old house, older than any building in north america) to a paranormal event is a towel moving in my bathroom on a hook for no reason.

Ghosties don't exist. If they did, then there would be some proof of life after death.

I have seen at least two ghosts in my time. One was a nurse that worked at a place that I also worked. Apparently it was her because I had never met her and I described her to someone. They said it was her. It just disappeared around a corner. The other time is when my grandfather passed away. I was in the hospital visiting with my soon to be husband at the time. I looked in a room and there was my grandfather on the bed. He smiled and waved and I looked again and he wasn't there any more. I found out a day later or so that he had passed. In the rush to call everyone they forgot to call me. We have an extremely large family. I know my daughter used to see them because we once lived in an apartment when she was very little and she used to talk to a man all the time. There was no man in the house. I was divorced at the time. We have had strange things happen all the time without seeing who was doing them. Like toys that play music even though there was no one around them to play them and they had fresh batteries. A pitcher flew off the counter and across the floor one day when my husband and I were talking in the kitchen one day also. Creepy I know but it does happen.

I have never experienced one myself and don't want to!

But people around me could sense something like a month ago. When my grandmother just passed away for a few days. Ater the funeral, I was having a meal with my mum in the room. It was about midnight. She then told me to stop eating and go to bed. I was asking her Why? She didnt answer me and gave me very weird look on her face. So we left. When we were upstairs to bedrooms. I was asking her whats going on... She then told me that she could smell of the medicine that my granny usually used when she was still sick fill in the room!!! but weird! I couldnt smell anything and we were actually in the same room!

And many more stories that freak me out!!

Some take a form of an ORB of light, small and round...
Some are sort of foggy but opalescent or glowing.
Most of the one's I have seen are human in appearance, like whomever they where at the time or before death .
My mother's did not appear on the day she died but I smelt her favorite perfume fill the room, then my step dad called and said she died...
I called my sister in Chicago and she had smelled the same thing, she had asked me when she answered the phone ""MOM DIED?""
I have seen people I do not know after death for different reasons.
And once received a phone call from one.

I do not talk about it much with people I do not know, there are skeptics and I do not talk to people who TRY to invalidate me.
Either you believe me or not.

Most of the time you don't see them. You feel their energy. When you can see them they are in all different forms. They can be like an ordinary person to a vague outline. Orbs are the energy - not the ghost. The spirit world does not have hard rules like this world has.

The one I saw looked like the person did in life but slightly out of focus. And then, not there anymore.

The interesting thing is, I never saw the person while they lived but described the person to someone who had known her, without saying who or what I meant. Yes, it was her. Her amazingly tiny waist, her dark hair, her tidy appearance, all of it.

Apparitions (ghosts you can see and look like people) are grey-blue and about the size of a regular person.
Ghosts you can't see (poltergeist, etc.) appear as colored orbs but only on film.

Just like a normal person. I saw my brother a couple of months after he died. We had a conversation, but it was only after he left that I realised I had seen his ghost. This makes me believe, but why don't the ghosts of murder victims come back and name the person who killed them?

Well, the one I saw had no body and his head was a bit like a holograph, you could sort of see through it. I talked to him and asked him his name and he "said" (well there was no voice the answer came straight into my head) that his name was Jonathan. He looked pale with dishevelled grey hair...Poor guy, I do hope he has moved on....

I was having a flu (when I was a kid) and there was a normal looking lady who went in my room, she didn't greet me at all but just combed her long hair infront of the mirror. (She had a reflection)
She never looked at me but I was staring at her coz I was wondering who was that lady who got the nerve to use the mirror in my room??? Later on, I asked my mom if we had a visitor and she said, "Nope"
