Actually, there's an interesting theory on this topic. The theory goes something like this. Time doesn't exist, and therefore everything from the past through the present and into the future, is all connected and accessable, and each level is affecting eachother at this very same moment. Therefore, you are everpresent. This would make it possible for people to be reincarnated into the past, or the future. Weird concept, bu I find it to be really interesting. You can probably find more information on http://en.wikipedia.org . Also, PERSONAL REALITIES ties within the same concept (sort of)... check that out too.

yes, people do it all the time. They're called drunks, junkies, and suicidal maniacs. They do all these things because they refuse to quit re-living what happened to them instead of focusing on what they have now. And most of the time they have robbed themselves of being happy now because they dwell on what they can't change, which then leads to the alchohol or drugs as a way to try to "forget". I'm not saying everyone does this . Some people that live in the past are not drunks or druggies, they are just miserable people. It's really quite sad..

Some people like to live in the past, in what may have been happier times of their lives--but it's best to keep moving on, and live in the present.

I live in a small town and sometimes it is like living in the past.
I would just bring lots of antibiotics before I jumped in that time machine if I were going too far back.

Psychotics strive to live in the past. I prefer living in a jug of maple syrup and cheese sticks with my favorite garment: my straightjacket.

Is it possible to dwell on bad experience because it is do much to work out on your own? Yes. My solution is to find a healthy enough friend or person to work out my baggage from my past.

My past still exists. People always wanna use old events against me & throw it in my face, & they think I never changed, so they treat me the same way they did 15 yrs. ago.

It is possible to live a regressive lifestyle where you refuse to change. This is not mentally or physically healthy because it is avoiding reality.
