I don't work for nothing but the down side is as soon as I get paid I pay bills with it i.e. rent, fuel, electric, phone, internet, cable, insurance, food, and I also have three children. So we live by check to check as do millions of other Americans. I do have a savings account though and a few bonds.

ohhhhhhhh yes! you are not alone. for instance two pay periods ago... after paying all the bills i had $40 left to get through the next payday!! so i had to tap into my 3rd party savings acct.
i don't always feel like i work for nothing...because it gives me the $$ i need in order to survive. but creating a savings acct. may help you realize that you do have something to show for...future money.
life is so expensive sometimes! but you do what you gotta do!

yes most times we do feel this way..right now its just my wifes check & my moms ssi check..im a stay at home dad/ care provider... hopefully we'll get more money coming in soon..
i hear you on the gas & electric tho... almost $3 a gallon here & our electric this month was $350.00...ouch!!!! & we're raising a 2yr old.

Don't think of it as you are working for nothing, think of it as you are working towards something. We all must struggle. Just never be content. Keep striving to better yourself. Your current financial status is temporary.

to survive you need to work ,it is ok to complain as we all do but I don't work for nothing I work to pay my bills
