funny question. If we could run as fast as cars, there would not be a purpose for a car. (why spend thousands if we can run instead). So to make a demmand for cars, the speed limit would be increased to make the incentive to buy a car. So the final answer is Yes.

Nope, because most of the time we were driving we'd either be shopping (using vehicles to haul) or driving in bad weather (cars are better than umbrellas).

We'd likely go faster on long-haul travel though, as there would be fewer vehicles on the road to begin with, so the anti-gas-spending speed limits could be eased up.

Of course we would! You know how when you're driving along kind of lost in thought and you notice someone is about to pass you and you speed up because you realize you're driving too slow? And when you're the one trying to pass you ask "Why do these people wait until you're about to pass them to speed up! *L*

If we routinely saw people running past us we'd speed up too. Awesome question!
