for me the keys to a great complexion are - in order of priority:
1) exercise - sweat keeps your skin moisturized and glowing, it also pushes through your pores and cleanses some of the dirt and build-up in the process.
2) diet: avoid eating a lot of foods that are processed - if it comes from a package it has fewer nutrients and is not as fresh and healthy. try to eat fresh, natural foods like fruits and vegetables and drink a lot of water. avoid eating refined sugars - this includes corn syrups. also avoid fast food and anything else that is filled bad fats.
3) happiness - i always notice my skin starts to look tired when i'm under too much stress. there's only so much we can do about this though, just try your best and if you focus on the first two items on my list, this will seem a little easier too...
4) avoid wearing much make-up on your skin. make-up clogs your pores with chemicals and causes many more problems then it solves…
a lot of people will tell you that skin - and everything else - is hereditary, this is true to some degree... but, while your ancestry may cause you to be more susceptible to certain issues, it does not mean that you are helpless in preventing many of them through your own proactive steps.

Don't be me. Oh, if you're not already, cut down on the amount of sugar in your diet. (I know, it's impossible. I'd rather have bad complexion, methinks) If you don't eat much sugar anyway, don't worry. Try a facial cleansing thingy. I find that 'Avon's Clearskin Facial Cleansing Scrub' is good. They're not exactly makeup, yet should help; it's more of a face wash thing. Also, if you have spots, try Oxy 10. Or, go to your doctor and ask if there's anything he can give you. I have a repeat prescription for antibiotics, which has helped a LOT! Hope that this has helped...

It is really hard to achieve a healthy complextion without the aid of a skin care system. Is there a reason that you can't use them? Like, allergic reactions? If not, then just use a basic cleanser and mousterizer morning and night. Mary Kay has a great system for young skin, and it is made for girls with sensitive skin.
As for your lifestyle... drink plenty of water and get plenty of sleep. This is something that will benefit your entire body, not just your skin! And no matter what... always use sunscreen! You will reap the benefits as you age slower than your friends! Everyone will be jealous of your wrinkle and age spot free skin!

First of all, your looks whether good or bad is all heredity. Look at your parents and you will see where you get your traits from.
Next, a good and proper diet is the key. Drinks LOTS of water every day. Stay away from fatty foods, alcohol, too much sweets, etc. Get a good amount of sleep, 6-8 hours a day and try not to get stressed out. A good attitude and a happy demeaner will lead you to a healthy life along with the diet and water
Peace*

Before you do anything else you have to treat your body well. It's all to do with making sure that you have a really healthy lifestyle. Plenty of exercise and a sensible diet that is reasonably low in fat. Eat chocolate in very small quantities and have plenty of fruit and vegetables. Once your body is in shape you might find that the expensive side of beauty isn't needed because you've ended up looking good anyway.
