i think the reason that it takes so long is that people post the question and then never check back to pick one, so then it goes to voting.

i personally think it is stupid. don't post questions unless you actually intend to read the answers.

Yahoo answers makes you wait at least 24 hours to choose a best answer. This really infuriates you? Get over it.

sometimes i ask a question then i go away say on exciting foreign trip with many beautiful women and i dont have time to awarda a best answer - but i usually try to so i can get points and what do points make? PRIZES! - i heard yahoo is gonna give 1 million dollars to the first person to reach 1 million points

Not me, I don't. I'm not here for the points, or for the acknowledgement of my answers. I usually lose track of questions the moment I post them. And when I keep watching them, it's not to see if I get the best answer. It's because I think I could get some kind of an answer.

The ones that annoy me are the ones where instead of choosing a best answer, the asker keeps asking more and more and more and more questions in the question details!

It is so annoying.
Least they can do is to thank the time you put in to answer....

They don't have to choose, but at least they can check back. I do not know if they expect any answer at all to their questions. Surprisingly, most questions do get answered.

I appreciate the time they take to ask. Why not return the favor?

bc alot of time they dont care about that part, they just want to ask questions and that is it
i know what you mean, but.... i also take along time bc i dont get on the computer for days sometimes and it will not let me pick the best anwser sometimes if it has not been long enuf. i think you should be able to pick 5 hours after you ask. i only get anwser for my questions at the first hour, and then they just stop.

Sometimes it's just pointless. I had 2 questions I didn't choose best answers for. One because there were so many good ones, and another because I didn't get any good answers. Once I forgot, lol.

What the hurry? if you get chosen, you will still get the points, any way, and if you dont, you wont, anyway. I usualy give mine the four days, unless I dont get back to it in time, sometimes I am out of town for a few days, You can always put in a vote for your own question, and chances are you'll get the points if it goes to a vote.

Yeah, I just got two emails saying my answers were chosen, but it took like a week after I answered the questions.
