Knowing that to be considered as a pond, that would require a minimum of 1/4 acre, and the amount of liquid that it would take to cover 1/4 acre to a minimum depth of 20 inches... I would definitely say that 20 ponds of gold would weigh much more than 20 pounds of silver!

The silver would weigh much more because a S. African gold pond coin weighs 7.998 grams, 20 would weigh less than 160 grams, far less than 20 lbs. of silver which is over 8900 grams.

I do not believe those coins have been minted for quite a long time so thay are probably much more valuable than the 20 lbs. of silver.

I would say if you had 20 PONDS of gold it would weigh more than 20 lbs of silver.

20 PONDS of gold is a bunch of gold and i wouldn't know how much it weighed unless i knew how big the PONDS were.

Did you word your question right?

20 + x pounds of gold or silver. Where x can be any number. And the spelling is Pound NOT Pond.

the PONDS of gold weighs more.

but if you really meant Pounds of Gold, then both the gold and silver have equal weight.

the gold of course, will always outweigh the silver in any discussion of value, however.

but that's just me trying to be clever. and as complete as can be,

Nice Try. Spelling Pounds and lbs is the same.

This was far from a trick question.

They both weigh the same.
