if it has a roller ball, take it out and clean it and the little wheels inside the mouse. If it has a laser, see if there's a hair inside the mouse or dust or something that it's reflecting off. Also, clean your mousepad. If you're not using a mouse pad... use one.

Most probably u have an old type of mouse where a ball is spinning underneath. when the dust gets in the mechanical system gets stuck. Turn the mouse upside down and rotate the lock around the ball anti clockwise to release the ball. then clean the ball & the 2 rods & the small wheel inside with some surgical alcohol or water moisted paper towel. This should do the job. If U have a laser mouse with a light in the bottom, either u haveto throw ur mouse away or Ur PC has a problem. But I doubt it.

You need to clean the rollers inside. Flip the mouse over and remove the mouse ball cover. Take the ball out and looks at the rollers inside. They probably have all kind of junk on them. I usually scrape them gently with a knife till I get all the gunk off.

I'm pretty sure you've been told the clean the ball...no! The ball is not the problem, its the rollers, remove the ball, get a tool small enough to reach the roller, a knife, tweezers or hair pin...and begin to remove the dirt and lint. Rub the ball off in a cloth - place it back into the mouse and voila!

If you are using a mouse with a ball, then you may need to just clean the wheels inside the mouse itself. If it's an optical mouse it may be the driver. You can also try rebooting your machine, or unplugging the mouse (if its USB) and plugging it into a different port.

It needs cleaning. Remove the ball and scrape the crud off of the rollers inside. This might improve things.

But consider getting an Optical mouse to replace it.

You can get a good one really cheap from http://www.newegg.com
just search for OPTICAL MOUSE

Here is a $5 mouse that works great.

Maybe it needs to be cleaned, or your mousepad is worn. Try removing the plate that holds the little ball in place, and remove the little ball and clean it with rubbing alcohol.

But for best mousing, use a roller ball type, around $20 or less. Its easier to clean and much less problems.

take it apart and clean it and if the problem persists get a new one. I inherited a roller mouse that was always jamming and I git tired of it seizing and me cleaning it. I bought a mouse I like and it performs wonderfully with so far NO problems

put the pc off then open the mouse and clean it out every part clean then put it back and use a clean mouse mat then put your computer back on and if you are on a router for internet access do this

you do make sure you call your (isp) or this will happen
is your pc still slow & your internet you have done a full system scan
with your anit virus /anti spyware you even defragmenter your hard drive
done a scan disk but your pc is still slow and your internet is not as good
then you need to check your router it dont mater what router you have

people in the vicinity is on your network

you call your (isp)
GET THIS SET TO DISABLED

(GAMES & APPLICATION SHARING )
it dont matter what router you have you need to get
(GAMES & APPLICATION SHARING ) set to disable

is your router safe?
you need to call your (isp) server
they have to get you in to your router home page
then from there ..copy & paste the router home page
into a notepad then save that to a back up cd

now from there they have to take you to the part
where (GAMES & APPLICATION SHARING ) is
then you click on ( GAMES & APPLICATION SHARING) icon
then at the top of the page on the right your see
configure.. you click on configure
then you .. UN-TICK .. the box ( GAMES & APPLICATION SHARING)
that is ticked there ...

if you have a wireless router
and then ask them where you set up a wpa-security key dont use a 128bit wep key ask to use a wpa- security that is your router security key and you pick the wpa-security key not your (isp)server . just ask them where you set one up they will say use a wep-key ..ignore them you say your going to use a wpa.key and want to know how to set one up and remember you pick the wpa-key not your (isp)server or they will use your network
