Listen to their answers regarding the wiretapping decision. It was ruled unconstitutional. And they are angry because they cant listen in on our privbate conversations.
"well you if you dont have anything to hide then you dont need to worry". is what they say.
It like, usual, is way off base. Its not the point. The point is is that they donthave a right to do that and I for one as well as many americans ( RTeal Americans) arent going to to nor am willing to give up my rights or my civil liberties in the name of "security" or in the name of anything.

Splatt is talking about of course lets see what happens when a republican judge gets his handson it. of course he will let it go hes for the republican party and therefore he will push that agenda. theres no voice to balance out the government. No matter if you hate the parties or not the government works best when we have both parties represented. It stops each party from taking too much control ......idiot

Not a valid generalization. Many (if not most) people who associate with that political party do care.
Even those that approve the wiretapping think that the potential benefits to national security are a sufficient justification for criminal behavior. Which doesn't mean the don't care about the Constitution, they just think the Constitution isn't absolute and that it can be pushed aside or ignored depending on the situation.
And for all those who make the utterly inane argument that "if you don't have anything to hide...." let me give you an analogy.
A total stranger breaks into your home, sits down on your couch, and starts watching your TV. If you don't have anything to hide, why should that bother you. Just because it's criminal shouldn't matter if no actual harm is done.
Or another analogy. You have some tools in your garage that you haven't used in years, and don't plan on using any time soon. A stranger breaks into your garage and takes those tools. You're not using them, so no harm done. Just because it's criminal shouldn't matter, right?
Or another. A person orders child pornography magazines from another country. The magazines are very old. The children pictured in them died 50 years ago. The person just sits in their home and fantasizes about having sex with children, but never is in the presence of any living child. They've hurt nobody, so no harm done, right?
One more. A person sneaks into the US. They don't tell the INS they're here. They get a job, pay all their taxes, pay rent, and otherwise live their life without anyone knowing they're an illegal alien. So what's the problem. Just because it's criminal shouldn't matter if no actual harm is done.
That's the point about the warrantless wiretapping. It's illegal. It is a willful violation of federal law.
So, why do people who are so opposed to other illegal activity think it's OK for our own elected officials, especially those who have sworn an oath to uphold the law, to break the law without being held accountable for their actions under the law.

Do you think they should stop searching peoples baggage at the airport with no search warrant? Isn't that "unconstitutional"?
I don't think this is a "republican vs. democrat" issue, I mean consider what FDR did during WWII in the name of national security. These are unusual times, we really do have an enemy living among us and we really do need to take extreme measures to protect ourselves. Ask yourself honestly how your life has been affected by this so-called stripping of your rights.

Which Constitution are you talking about; the written one or the one surrounded by Auras, Penumbras and Emanations?
The ruling of one Carter-appointed and Clinton-promoted judge does not make it unconstitutional. Let's see what the higher courts say.

now they are saying that every other president did it! So funny...perhaps they wiretapped, but they did it the way the constitution allows...they are trying to get rid of ALL checks and balances, and they have scared most americans into thinking that the terrorists will get them, if they don't! But who do you blame, the politicians, or the people who vote for them?

The urge to surrender freedom for a perception of safety is what allowed fascism to grow in Germany and Italy prior to WW2. The people of those willingly surrendered their freedoms, calling all those who opposed the action unpatriotic.
But it couldn't happen here, right?

Republicans...Democrats...nobody in power cares about either the Constitution or the Bill of Rights. When they are inconvenient, they conveniently set them aside.
That's called "leadership."

I believe we shouldn't have wire taps... I can't wait for another terrorist attack against us... this will help America be defeated by Islam.. I am glad we agree on that...
We should pray to Allah together, don't you think?
What color is your prayer rug? Mine is blue.
I am not whats wrong with America.. The fact that we are not under Islamic rule is what's wrong, I am sure you agree....Once we allow the terrorists to openly plan attacks against the US you and I will be able to praise the coming of Allah
