Do your personal standards ever show to others around you?

I have very strict and high standards. I am not a democracy, i am an aristocracy (see Plato's Republic of how different people live political psychologies; The Republic Book X).
If i see pain in the world and think "tut, someone should do something" i get mad at myself and realize that i must BE the change i want to see in the world and go ahead and do it. So, people see my standards through my words and actions. I do not show SHOW others my standards and values, i BECOME them and those who see me may see them and what good they see or what bad they see is only a mirror of the good or bad inside themselves.
Thats what i think, could be wrong though.

The best personal standard in something reportedly said by Plato; The good life consists of three things; doing unto others...the golden rule; all things in moderation; accepting no truth unless proven.

What do you mean by standards? Who you would date, what type of place you would work, or deep down convictions? My convictions are what drives my life, without them I would be a blank slate unable to formulate an opinion or make a decision, so yes, they do show to others.

I seem to hold myself up to higher standards than for others. I wonder why this is? I am so tolerant, forgiving, and understanding when it comes to human frailties and foibles. I don't seem to apply this to myself on a consistent basis. I possess integrity, honor, and the courage of my convictions..and I am sure it speaks for itself...but when it is not present in another...I forgive them. Hm.

My personal standard is simple: treat others how I would like to be treated. Be empathetic and understand that you never understand someone's plight until you have walked a mile in their shoes ;-)

I wouldn't say I have standards I follow for myself. I just do or say what I think is appropriate at the time.

i think you are a self obsessed person for asking question like this, what is your problem anyway, you have a very high standard for yourself too? there is standard thing, it's only what you called something that how people behave, i tell you, you are just one of the millions of people who do similar things everyday, because they are too not innovative enough to do something different. especially with your mind, how you think, people are grouped according to what kind of things are surronding them, that's why a trend occurs. so we all have the same kind of standard, unless you hate yourself.
