I don't know about Hitler exactly, but, yes, George W. Bush is a fascist, as was Hitler. Anyone who does not understand this needs to visit this site http://www.bushflash.com/14.html
and educate themselves on the subject. Bush is a dictator, and so was Hitler. So, yeah, I guess there are some similarities as much as I hate to say that about someone.

If you really know your history and your current politics then there are a lot of differences. The similarities are only the social freedoms that have been restricted by both - although hitler's was much more severe.
In 1938 there were laws in Germany against liberal thinking, and liberal books. Even certain types of western music was banned in Germany at the time. Now you could argue that the Patriot act is similar to this, in that the books you check out at the library could theoretically be flagged, it is still no where near hitler's grasp on society.
Hitler was overly grandiose as well. He built several large buildings, monuments, and arenas based off of Roman archetecture. These monuments stretched the limits of current architectural technology by being so large. He accomplished some of these architectural feats through slave labor. You could argue that Bush's trips to mars are also grandiose, but again, it is no where near the level of Hitler's
Hitler also incorporated the nuremburg laws, that completely clamped down civil liberties in society, and discriminated against groups of people. Jews were forced to wear stars, and were deported into ghettos and eventually concentration camps. Gays, Communists, those openly opposed to Nazism, Jahova's witnesses, certain types of gypses, alcoholics, and those deemed socially "unfit" were all forced into concentration camps or into forced labor.
So to answer your question, Bush has taken away some civil liberties since he took office, but he is not even in the same ball park as hitler.

America is a Republic ,,, But Bush pushes Democracy, like Hitler pushed his agenda. Bush has people brainwashed with fear as Hitler did.
Bush plays "above the law of the land" as Hitler was the final word in Germany.
Hitler killed innocent people and so has the Bush Administration.
Hitler wanted to change Europe. George wants to change the Mideast.
Hitler didn't believe in doplomacy, nor does George ... they both speak with war.

Well, if he starts putting Muslims and "dissenters" like you into camps and slaughters them, then I guess so.
*Reaction to a prior post.
Your WW2 facts are a bit biased. All sides did some pretty reprehensible things. Why don't you talk to some WW2 survivors and soldiers. They can give you some rare insight that history books cannot.
Cannot understand why you hate America when your accusations apply to the majority of governments around the world.

I am very appalled you would bring up Hitler in a time like this considering there is a war happening but I do tend to agree that there are numerous similarities between those two underqualified men.

there are some similarties though not all the same. hitler same as bush did not mind his own business and kept fighting wars just to prove that he and his companions are something else. he kept killig jews. same as bush is doing today killing muslims while saying that he is protecting them. no he is only protecting his interests in the middle east. Bush has named himself a leader of the whole world and is interfering in other nations' businesses.

Totally. Did you know that his grandfather, Prescott Bush actually gave the Nazi party $10 million dollars to get started in the 1930's?
He also has this us-against-them mentality. All of his ideas are true and correct; you can't argue with him without being "unpatriotic". Arguing with our political leaders in civilized fashion is what this country is based on!

Hitler believed that Germany is above all, that Jews should be exterminated and he occupied other people's countries.Bush believes that America is above all, that Muslims should be exterminated and he occupied other people's countries. You can add that they both came through disputed democratic elections
You draw your own comparison.
