I am not anti-gay by any means, but think about it.
Being left handed doesn't hinder your ability to do what you instinctually do in life. As with all animals and (hopefully) all religions, one of our main purposes in life is to reproduce and pass on our inherited genes. Being gay prevents you from doing this, thus making it a mental problem. I do feel that the problem can be heavily infuenced, but true homosexuality from birth can only be described as a mental disorder.
Considering sex drive and the want to reproduce is up there with hunger and thirst in the heirarchy of needs, you could say that it wasn't a disorder for somone who doesn't eat. But it is and it is called anorexia. When somone doesn't want to reproduce, what is that called?

Most current research indicates that sexual preference is something your brain is wired for from birth, just like being left handed. In fact, there recently was an article in Time magazine about genetic predisposition for gay men. A European research study indicated that the more boys a mother has, the more likely the youngest could be gay. Apparently it has something to do with depleted levels of testosterone in the mother. Hmmm.

The thing is I heard people are born gay. Wait if God made them that way, then what's with the bible saying being gay is a sin?? Is God pulling a fast one on us?? Dude you just got me thinking. I dont think gay is habitual because a person cant just one day say to the world " I decided I want to be gay". It dosnt work that way.

In my opinion...It depends. I think some people have no choice and others choose to be that way. The reason I say some choose it are because one of my friends had slept with so many guys and got tired of it that she decided to just start sleeping with women. But I also know people have been attracted to the same sex since they could remember.

In todays society, being gay just is a part of our everyday living. Everywhere you look there are gays and as much as they have been in the news about being able to marry. There is no categorizing them...As far as I am concerned gays are just expressing their wants

It's a cop out. Like an ism. Alcoholism,communism, socialism, etc. It can be curved and arrested. The person can live a normal life after recovery.

like being left handed. and in most cases, i think its like being left handed but being forced to be a rightey all their lives until they find out, "hey, i'm really left handed and now eveything is so much easier!"

i think that its a combination of genetics and mentallity.
