Whats the best way for my girlfriend to get preg. we really want a baby together... and how much will it cost us?

We have seen a posting like this somewhere else, but the circumstances were unique. The other gay couple was asking a brother for his sperm so that the baby could have a common DNA from both parents. But it was strange because the brother was into swinging and they were going to just let him and one of the women from the couple (not his sister) have sex. You'll have to look it up.

Anyway, there are several different ways for a woman in a F/F relationship to get pregnant. You can go to a fertility clinic which can get kind of expensive and can be really impersonal. There are artificial insemination kits that are out there, but you have to find someone who will be a willing donor. Even cheaper is the basic turkey baster. Again, you have to be able to find a willing donor. But, both the kit and the turkey baster will allow both of you to participate in lovemaking when the baby is conceived. Additionally, if she is able to climax when the sperm is injected, there is a better chance of conception.

The only other way is to find a guy and have sex with him. You probably won't enjoy that way, but it will be the cheapest.

It may be really cliche, but the friends' (or other clean donor's) semen and a sterilised turkey baster are a good pair for a reason. ;) You can also ask a doctor for an insemination syringe (a syringe with a long tube at the end to help get the semen where it needs to go- it helps if you have a good rapport with your obgyn).

Ignore all the bible-licking morons. It's been proved time and time over that the children of same-sex couples are just as psychologically healthy as those of straight couples, if not more so because they're actually taught that whole revolutionary 'equality' thing. ;)

Artificial insimination is a good way because it is cheaper and safer in the long run. You will also be able to read the brief of the sperm donor, even though you wont know his personal iformation when it comes to name, ssn, address, ext.

Get some sperm from a man who's willing. If you're lucky, it's free. But it can be quite expensive. The price range is confusing. There's this shot type thing which you put the sperm in, then you shoot it (like a shot) up the vagina.

You can have a friend donate sperm wehich means there is another person involved. Or you can contact a spem bank and find a donor that matches some of your expectations. good luck.

my partner and I haven't had kids. but we have some friends who have, and they did artificial insemination. 1 couple actually had a friend who was a donor, and another couple actually (and I didn't know you could do this until they did it) found a website of sperm donors and they bought it over the internet. surrogacy is an option, too. but most couples I know, they want to have one of their own.
and yes, you homophobes who post your nasty messages...we CAN and DO have kids!

Sperm donor.... surrogate mothers.... there are several ways. Sperm donor will be the cheapest or just get a close male friend to "donate".

The best way is don't....

God created a family to be a husband and wife and their children....not a woman and her lover and any children they can have or adopt through whatever means. Don't bring a child into that kind of messed up situation.
