recently i have a friend in a situation at work, where her money hungry, selfish, mean boss took advantage of her hard work and good character for 3 YEARS. my friend found a better paying job (just had a 2nd baby, asked for a raise, manager said no). the manager tried to counter, but told her she had to lay off a co-worker in order to do so. (that is SO wrong!). at first she was going to take the money, that was what she looking for in the first place. but she realized that she couldn't be happy knowing that she was the reason someone else was laid off. and i realized that if she Had taken the money, she would become JUST like the manager.. money motivated, not caring about other people, loyalty, etc. so im really proud of her.

do u think this happens often in life? people CAN break the cycle~

Selfishness would have been her motivation if she did what was asked.

Once you can look outside yourself you can combat it.

I'm proud of her to. For some, that is a very hard decision.
