I was wearing leather shoes (Ecco) and I'm tryign to figure out how to get any bad plant residue off the shoes, specifically the fabric portions without ruining the shoes. Can soembody help me?

If you're really that worried, I'd ditch the shoes altogether. Poison Ivy oil can remain active for a couple years after contact. Otherwise, I'd say you should be okay to wipe them off with a damp cloth, and wash your hands immediately afterwards.

I'm not really sure this will work, but since the poison ivy stuff is sort of oily, perhaps some kind of degreaser or soap?

Good luck!

you can buy spray for poison ivy and just spray shoe inside and out. it shouldn't hurt the fabric,or leave it hard and stiff. If it's swede. But read the bottle first to be sure.Or ask you local pharmacist.
