I have to write an essay on four books i have read over the summer, (ive only read 3 so far) and i have to write an essay and the topic is "Examine the human dondition of the 4 main characters in the books listed." I do not know what that means.

Basically, the question is asking how these characters deal with being human. How do they react to the universal experiences and problems that are part of being human?

If you could list the books you're writing about, people could probably give you a more specific answer and maybe some ideas of where to begin.

usually main characters are considered "heroes" or "heroines"..therefore, somewhat perfect, virtuous, in an imperfect world. what u want to do is figure out what weaknesses and strength these characters have that You can relate to, as a human being. for example, there can be times where the main character is confused, or is torn between family and duty, etc etc..those are things u can understand, as another human. :) good luck! compare and contrast~
