i hate losing weight but once you find something that you like its easy to stick to i lost 30 pounds and feel more energized I'm now doing my own version of the 3 hour diet eating no junk food and if i do only a hand full of like chips or something i eat smaller portions every 3 hours at first i felt it was not gonna work but than a week after doing it my metabolism kicked up real fast which Ive never had happen to me before i just started this two weeks ago and already lost 5 pounds without doing much excises but i know once i start being more active ill lose more. oh another tip did you know that holding you belly in for 5 seconds equals up to one sit up? it woks and try to tighten your muscles as much as you can it well make them tighter.

No, surgery is the easy way out, but certainly not the best, in fact the worst.

I don't believe you have tried everything with your whole heart in it. Have you tried healthy diet and exercise--this is a lifestyle change, not something you do on the weekends. Have you tried limiting your portions? Do you drink a lot of water, not sodas (which hold fat on your body)?

If you really have tried all of that for at least 6 months with zero results, then you need to have your homones checked.

You may not have major health problems now, you are still young, but high blood pressure, heart disease, etc., are just ahead of you. So don't fool yourself into thinking you are ok with the extra weight. If you are 5'7", small to med. framed (a female?), you should weigh at least 50lbs. less.

I watched my brother loose weight and he had the same problem he dropped all of the soda pop nothin but water water water. He runs around the block but when he first started he could only walk it takes alot of time so be patient. run the block about 3 times a week and work out with some weights on the other days take one day off a week but drink the water. Have plenty of vegtables especially the green ones and nothing fried only baked stuff no sweets and get a partner. I would be glad to be your support person if you would like you need some one to do daily e-mails and help you step by step.

I would not do any kind of crash diet or too much exercise. Do something you can do for the rest of your life, like walk 30 mins a day.

I would work into things slowly and realise that this is going to be a lifestyle change.

I would just eat less of everything, Don't eat between meals. Eat lots of fruits and veggies.

Don't stave yourself because you will loose some weight and later gain it back.

Let the weight come off slowly, and keep it off.

Surgery is always the last option. I made a diet that takes off weight and keeps it off. It really does work. Change your butter to I can't believe its not butter, milk to skim when cooking with it, don't cook in oil, butter, or margerine and that includes baking, eat lots of dairy, cut your bread consumption down, eat lots of skinless chicken, smoked turkey, 1 or 2 times a week eat red meat (make sure no fat in it) if you crave sweets or chips nabisco has the 100 calorie count snacks that are great, when you bake bake only in water and spices, no more premade gravies use powdered gravy mixes, no grease gravy from scratch, if you must use oil use extra virgin olive oil. In 30 days I lost 6 inches and in 90 days I lost a total of 10 inches. My husband started this in February of this year and has lost 70 pounds. No baggy skin either. Make sure you exercise regularly, walking works great. We have more energy now. Good luck. Always remember to be happy with youself.

Try to work out and diet before thinking of surgery. Really try....not just half assed like many people do. You might not havew too many problems now...but you are only 23. you need to get the weight off to be healthy in you olld age. If you have back problems now..imagine how much worse it will be in ten years. Love yourself and your body enough to take good care of it. Good luck.

Discipline to do daily exercise and maintaining a well balance diet. Now that you are still young, it seems everythings ok, but if you let your weight to continue or increase, complications will soon be develop (ie. hypertension associated with coronary/vascular heart deseases, diabetes, etc.). Avoid this kind of health risk, stay fit by reducing your weight.
