President of the United States of America George W. Bush is doing his roles and responsibilites as Commander in Cheif of the United States of America during a time of Hope and Victory in America in a Uncertain World. When someone is the President of the United States of America, they also have a responsiblity to make not only decisoins that happen in the United States, but throughout the world. I believe that the two most important leaders in today world and during the 21st Century will be the President of the United States of America and the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom because both positions not only have to take the lead and responsiblities for their country, but for what happens all over the globe.

honestly I think he may be trying, however due to the fact that he is completely dishonest, and has ran us in circles with just about everything on our foreign agenda, I will be happy to see a new president take office. However I do hope that one day people in this country will leave their comfort zone of voting purely republican or democrat without researching their vote. Ignorance is killing this country and our image abroad. If our image abroad doesn't matter to you, perhaps you should consider why we are the targets of terrorist attacks. The Bush administration is currently advocating torture (see guantanamo articles) they are pushing "Democracy" in other countries (shouldn't it be their choice?), and trying to force other countries to see the American way of life (See articles about Castro getting sick). We need to come together as a country and focus on making this a great place to live again. We can influence other countries to change by making our country the one everyone wants to be a part of. And instead of investing trillions of dollars into homeland security, we can improve our living conditions. People will not want to destroy our civilization as much as they do now if we are not busy trying to change theirs, and pissing them off. Obviously a fair amount of money can go toward homeland security, but we need to adapt an isolationist policy for a while and get back on our feet. Why should we worry about China's economy taking off, and how we can slow it down; when if we focus on our country we can simply out perform them. We can do that by helping our major corporations to not shut down 1000's of locations and cutting american jobs that are going to go overseas. Look at the big overall picture. Countries like Russia and China, and Cuba do not receive the amount of terrorist attacks that we do, and that is because they don't try to change the world by forcing their views (anymore). Open your eyes people. Even if Bush's ideals are good, he cannot save the world. As previously stated, he is only 1 man, and his plate is way too full.

The actions of this administration will pay off in future years, as the Regan era paid off in the 90s. At that point the liberals will have someone new to hate and will probably attribute the good economy and solid foreign presence of the US to the Clintons like they did in the 90s when they did nothing but provide a soap opera in the White House. Bush is a solid front man to a solid team.

I think he probably is.In the particular events of his administration actually more is at stake than was at stake even in the Civil War. No press scrutiny then either. The world is sitting on a tenderbox of things like nuclear bombs and bird flu. Pray for him and also pray for those in the critical areas, including the newly emerging governments in Iraq. Also for Olmert and the President of Iran. A little divine guidance might do the trick.;)

I agree. One man cannot make an entire nation happy. America is DIVERSE, people...he can't make everyone happy. He's a president, not a genie. It's not an easy job. Do you think he's trying to fail on purpose? Of course not.

I do. Everyone I encounter hears me ask this very simple question. Given all that has happened, without changing the smallest detail, what would you do in his position? And all I get is fantasy answers.
