defintitely johan santana/joe mauer right now, santana is a top 5 pitcher in the league as of now, and mauer is the best catcher. of all time i would say mickey cochrane and lefty grove, mickey was one of the best catchers ever, and lefty grove was a great pitcher (probably the 2nd best lefty). they were both fiery competitors, and won several world series for the A's in a time when the yankees were the dominating team.
