I can't believe why anyone would want new labour to continue, but then some people never learn. Dr. Reid is a Scot, and there are far too many of them already in the English government. And I don't think any of them are doing a good job. Immigration is a shambles, not because of inefficiency but out of design.

Is he doing a brilliant job? I'm not convinced with his prisons policy at all... still, the question of who will be the next PM is an interesting one. There is always so much hope at the start and so much disillusionment at the end... I really can't think of a good man for the job. My mind doesn't spring to Reid either though.

We could do a lot worse. Dr.Reid handled the recent terrorist episode brilliantly and I think people warm to him much more than Blair. As for Prescott, he's a lot like Prince Phillip..........they both have a knack for putting their foof in it & saying the wrong thing at the wrong time. If there were to be a General Election tomorrow with Blair still at the helm, then although Labour might still get back in but with a vastly reduced majority, would not get in at all if Prescott rules but would sail through with Dr.Reid
